Restorative Yoga: an Iyengar Perspective

Restorative Yoga is an essential part of a balanced practice and is m uch more than a 5 minute savasana at the end of class. Improve familiarity with Restorative Yoga techniques and methods based upon the Iyengar Yoga approach, which includes supported asanas, inversions, and pranayama.

Summary of Iyengar approach to Restorative Yoga

Sequencing and using props for Restorative Yoga

Inversions options and pranayama (regulating the breath)in a restorative sequence

Bio of presenter:

A Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher since 2009, Chet is now accredited at Intermediate Junior 1 level. His classes equally emphasize strength, stamina, flexibility, and balance, as well as attention to detail and alignment that brings harmony to the body and mind. Chet’s ongoing study has led to yoga teacher workshops with Geeta Iyengar, Manouso Manos, and other senior Iyengar teachers, focusing on topics such as therapeutics and yoga for the lower back.
